Standard Auto Wreckers vs Thorald auto prices??

Hey I have been looking up pricing for some parts from these two auto wreckers and I am seeing a huge difference in price. Standard always seems to be significantly lower then Thorold for the same part, in what seems like the same condition.

Does anybody know of any reason why Standard seems to be half the price of Thorold wreckers?

Is it a quality thing? or just because standard is so much bigger it has better prices?

Thanks guys!

Service. Standard is the biggest bunch of clowns in the business! Had to buy from them because they were the only place who had that part available in Ontario, let's just say I will NEVER go back again!!! I rather pay full price at the dealer, or set my $$$ on fire before they get my business.

HAHAHA perfect, well that answers my question, I knew there had to be some reason and knowledge of the staff and ease to deal with are absolutely a huge factor in pricing!
I appreciate the info!

My bad experience to the side, the reason why they are so cheap is the size and the fact that they have another yard just off the border in the US, and we all know how cheap everything is in the US!!! Many times the parts listed in Canada are actually located in the US yard, and it taks a day (or 4 like in my case!) to get. They got way busyer during the last years, to the point you cant even find parking in front of the place, and wait 30min in line befor you can even talk to someone about what you need!

Ya that makes sense too, my company is starting to buy containers of bmw and merc parts from Germany, where our partner will just get what we need and it will significantly drop the price due to the amount of product available there compared to Canada, I suppose its the same when you think of the parts available in the US compared to here, so I guess taking their prices for parts they have "in stock" with a grain of salt is needed.

So your checking what market prices are on parts for your business?
