holy crap I have rear DRUMS......wow, that was not expected
pretty peppy drive though (yes i know that it will add to the problem but it actually didnt overheat .... I let it cool off, then for a quick squirt again, and yes I HAD to because I was a drinkin......just ....I dont know) - feels less 'lazy' than my friends 325 auto I guess due to super short gearing
the car also feels a few hundred pounds lighter and lively in the turns, off the top I would say 100 pounds for roof, rear drums must do something for weight and the battery is in engine compartment so either return to the rear where it belongs or significantly reduce battery weight
light is nice...........................

Converting to discs isn't hard. I've got all the appropriate stuff if you want it.

yea turbo seems the best option but I dont know the status of my head (warped - cracked - just in need of some machining - salvageable ???) it seems i have the older head with super high compression ......this is where i am at so far and contemplating my options OTHER than swap for now
it seems everyone who has done a swap would go back to do a turbo so a good starting point (just save the swap for another project)

Imo when you mod a car it should be purpose built. What are your plans with the car? Top end? Large track? Small track? Autox? DD? 1/4mile? Quick example if you are shooting for top end large track with high hp and long gears. Your car wouldnt fair well with autox as a car with short gears and moderate hp. And visa versa. GOod luck with what ever you choose.

your 320 was an e30?? what did you find out about the head and the high compression? this guy suggested that because the pistons had alot of meat on top - to have it shaved to reduce comp slightly and apply moderate boost ....
btw my overall goal is to retain this car with maximum weight reduction (and about 220-250hp via boost) as the most hardcore thing it will experience - DD longevity will be my top priority without losing out on speed too much.
