Yeah, the new pickups are great. I drove a 2009 F150 with the 5.4L v8 from Fort Frances -- Winnipeg and back (winding, Northern Ontario roads) and averaged about 11.5L/100km. But that was driving as efficiently as possible.

I need to a long haul like that to see how low it will go, my best was on a 300km drive coming home from a weekend in North Bay, the longer we drove the better it got, and even picked up a fridge from a friends house on the way home!

Normal summer driving 11-13. (depending on the traffic I encounter)
Normal winter driving 12-15 (depending on the traffic I encounter)
Must be your short trips, or something isn't right.

I've been getting SES lights and picked up a scanner over the holidays.
It's going in for a tune up. I have already replaced the CPS and both TPS.

Correction, MAF's are original. O2's were done. I unlocked the secret screen and my L/H flows are fine, but 3rd gear WOT I am getting no where near the 150range that I should be. pulls hard though. Vanos has been done <10K ago.
First pic is using my OBD indicator ( turn signal) sorry for the blurry pic... probably shouldn't be taking these while I drive..
Second Pic is from the OBD display
Third picture is from the secret screen that shows 12.9/100KM
