Because I bought the bavarian auto shift kit. I don't know if it's the same as the Z3 shifter, having never seen a z3 shifter. but it does shorten the throw by about 30%

...for single-handedly installing the shifter (WITHOUT jacking up my car.. Too Low) and for installing my OWOW shifter.
