At the rate it's going now, BMW can get away with a 6 year run on a basically untouched base M3 while Audi, Ford, Cadillac have to go through 3 revision in the same time frame to keep up...

Every manufacturer holds a product on the market for roughly 5 years.... BMW and the others you listed.
ANd were not talking about including heated steering wheel for example on a new modeal year.
