Free Virus Protection Program?
Hey guys,
I remember a thread posted a while ago about the best programs to install when you first buy a new computer and one of the programs was an anti-virus program.
I am currently running McAfee but my subscription ends this month. What is a good free anti-virus protection program that won't slow down your computer worth installing?

Avast is great. By far the best I've used when it comes to hogging resources!

I use Avira and Comodo firewall.
both free.
IF you have a legit version of Windows I strongly suggest the microsoft security essentials as it's the best.

Another vote for Microsoft's Security Essentials. I know it's anecdotal, but I've had it on many computers, and always install it when setting up someone else's computer. Personally I've never gotten any viruses, but that may also be due to my careful browsing habits.
