E90 metallic trim for steering wheel.

Hello,

I think 2007+ E90 sport pkg have this metallic trim on the steering wheel which I really like. I was wondering if this trim can be fitted on a 2006 E90 steering wheel, or does the steering wheel as a whole need to be changed? (Sorry, I am new to this stuff.)

If the trim can be fitted then how is it done? Does it have be done by a pro, or can a person do it himself?

Any extra info is much appreciated such as where to buy the trim, and a DIY tutorial would be nice too
