Looking at a 318ti

Hi, I'm new to the site.
I'm looking at a 98 318ti that needs some work and need some advice.
It's an automatic with under 200k.
Body is in good shape, no rust.

It needs:
- Left Control Arm
- Radiator - has a small leak
- Muffler
- Brakes

Asking price is 1700.
Is this a good deal or way too much in repairs. I can do the brakes and rad myself.

Also, I found a 91 318i sedan for 1500 with no rust and in perfect running condition, it's a 5 speed.
