mobilicity?
anyone here use them??
Im really tempted to sign up just to try it out... $25 for one month for unlimited text, data, calling in toronto sounds pretty sweet... cept I dont have an AWS unlocked phone.
does anyone know if I buy an AWS phone and its unlocked will it work with rogers? apparently AWS works on 1700/2100 frequency.... ok and rogers is on 850/1900...
anyone know any phones of hand that would work on both these networks support both? or is that not possible?

Not sure where you live but be careful of the coverage/zone. My wife works out in Newmarket and its literally hit/miss... she may be a few streets to the west/east and be out of their coverage area - at which point she would be hit with hidden fees (roaming/out of area calling)
I think Fido has a fair comepetitive plan if you're looking to cut back on expenses + they use the Rogers network.
I would recommend an unlocked phone as Fido has garbage hardware.

Wind Mobile also looks pretty good, but again... coverage may be an issue if you live outside the GTA.

I have a similar plan on my work phone, but from Wind - Brainiac now known as "Oh Canada". $29 with everything unlimited (voice, data, text) - added a US calling since my clients are from the stats. $39+tax everything included North America wide.

That doesn't include roaming right?
I usually travel too much and need reliable coverage outside of Canada. I would like to make use of these new carriers, but might wait a while.

Be careful of roaming charges though..you think Rogers would lower its prices because of better packages others offer but they still have some of the highest charges of industrial countries.Wind and Moblicity has issues with reception though in certain dead zones but if they ever get the Samsung Galaxy S II or the Motorola Razr at a cheap price with no contract I be switching over asap from Rogers..

I went to casino rama with a buddy of mine who uses WIND mobile, he had to use my phone specifically because he couldnt get reception. I would never switch from Rogers who has bar none the best coverage out of all the providers to save 10-15 dollars a month. because a time when I REALLY REALLY need to get reception Ill be confident my phone can give that to me... not worth it if you ask me

Well the 25$ plan is okay... right now I pay $35 on rogers but I only have 250 minutes, unlmt even/weknd starting at 6, VOICE mail.
on the 25$ mobi plan there is no voice mail and i really need that because I never answer my phone lol.
and they want 8$ for voice mail on mobi.. I dont really care so muhch for data because I m at work at a computer all day long and have computer at home.. so now that I think about it the price point dont make sense.
