Please enlighten me, is Indonesia known for a very wealthy upper class(in contrast with very poor people?) Where is all this money flowing from? I always hear about the crazy BMW events and the M shop, etc... Perhaps it is like my country, where the wealthy, are indeed, very weatlhy.

Terry.. these are the very wealthy in Indonesia, I would say. the Chinese Indonesian.. most are very rich businessman/politician .. mostly in import/export lumber, oil and oil services and their sons/daughters indulge in these toys and they will travel to Singapore for brand name products..also there is a great Indonesian community in Singapore and they drive high end cars as well.....
