good deal?

hey, im new to the bmw world. I started working as a mechanic at elite bmw here in ottawa about a year ago and ever since i started ive been itching for a nice clean e36. They are simply wonderful to drive, of course i would love an m but bank cant support that one letter

So ive been shopping and theres not many unmolested clean e36's left for a reasonably cheap price. But i found a 1995 325is for $3,999. Its a 5spd with sport package, sport leather interior in good shape and the body is very solid with little to no rust. The car has 240,000kms but runs great and comes cert and etested.

As these cars are still new to me (as a converted gm fan) so any tips or advice is much appreciated. I know this isnt the funnest motor but just need a reliable car that i can play around with as i go. and who knows maybe it will get an s54 transplant in a couple years

Anyways thanks again and i hope to make it out the some meets sometime and meet some guys in my area

no regal here man i just got rid of my firebird in the spring been looking for a project since. i definately agree with keeping it clean tho, there are some very tastefully modded e36s on here that are great for inspiration. not sure but i may hold out for a 328 instead as you make some good points on future potential

I was buying snow tires at Bimmerguys last weekend and saw a really nice low-mileage 328 ('96 I think). More money but this car looked super clean. I can't vouch for the car but bg are straight shooters and nice people to deal with.
