I would get some spacers for the wheels and make them flush with the fenders.

Illinois requires a front plate and i do not want to drill holes onto my m tech bumper becasue i don not know if i will be in Illinois forever. I live in an area where the cops are a pain in the rear about having them mounted to your car.

Gorgeous! The E39 is such a great looker. Doesn't look dated at all, I still love the way my dad's 99 Ti silver 528i looks even with a little rust on the rockers.... hmmm I should get that fixed for him and add a M5 kit to it LOL

My dad enjoys it tremendously, as did I when i lived at home with them. Not to say I don't like the looks of my E60 but I feel the E39 aged very well.
ahhh the good old days LOL
