Oh yeah! long time coming for me...

I will start learning with flux core..... then move to cleaner welds with gas. It came with the regulator and everything....very nice machine well worth the price according to everybody I talked too and internet reviews.

Cant wait to start welding... 1 more hobby to the list lol...the wife is happy that I will be able to use it to build her vert (she wants an M30 engine or a M60 so custom mounts and tranny mounts..) but before I want to finish at least the supercharger in my car...next year stroker and add the turbo to the twincharge setup.

Finishing up the wood brackets and flanges then am off to metal supermarket sometime this weekk to transfer them to metal.

Right friggin on!! My buddy found a small tank on kijiji for $100 and exchanged it at Praxair for a full tank of C25. Good deal, might want to keep your eyes open.

If you get ok at welding with flux and move to gas, you'll be amazing with gas. Gas is SO easy compared to flux. With flux, just make sure you get a stainless steel brush and brush away the "film" each time you stop the weld. Restarting without brushing will contaminate the weld. It does make you consider your welds more carefully and concentrate on doing long smooth welds.

This link expires in 72 hours, so grab this.. I just uploaded to my storage space.

Haynes Welding Manual

Curious, what are you using to cut the metal?

I hope me and Mariana are able to drop by once more this summer before the warm weather ends to sit down and chat It's always a pleasure seeing you and the family Keep up the good work! You'll have to teach me how to weld rofl!

Its been a while been busy with a few things around the house of course never stops....

Also my diff started leaking from the input seal so another trip to BMW new seal, shield...etc... started reading on how to install and decided to leaved it in the hands of the pro's well I called CV tech in Gatineau to see if they would work on a bmw diff , Chris the guy that rebuilt my Axles told me he never done it before but he would look at it and see if he could do it to my surprise DONE! did his research and got to it, I knew Chris was good but now am really impressed.... so impressed that.....

I said to myself.....hmmm ..maybe I will bring him my modular pulley to see if he can press in the hub and install my pulley.... well holy crap he not only installed the hub but also machined the interior of the 2.6" pulley to fit around the neck of the blower... Chris is one talented dude. Next project for him building a 1 piece Driveshaft for my E30 and hes up to the task!! cant wait...

Did some work on the SC install relocated the alternator with some mockup brakets just need to make them out of heavy gauge steel and get a longer vbelt. So this part is almost done.

Just sat the SC so everybody could see the orientation it will have once I build the brakets for it...

one more shot of the M62 blower with its new pulley. With the modular setup I can change the pulley size in 5 seconds also received the tensioner just not in the pic...

my M20 with a Roots type blower at 6-8 PSI is going to destroy the mazda

LOL.. not sure really we will see..... the blowers job is really there for the low end torque (torque flatening) and the rest of the rpm band is going to see a big turbo at a good 10PSI! (from 4000-7000rpm)

I also need to build my 2.7 stroker for when I get to the turbo build its ready for install..
