Yes madam, glasses Dan.
I have been here the whole time; even through your second coming. Changed my screen name a few times though. I've been lurking more lately rather than posting. Between traveling for work, and my day to day stuff, its hard to stay constantly engaged in the forum.
What have you been up too Kev?

Graham the car has four seats, so I'm sure I can fit you in for a ride anytime you want. Those vids were a while back, sounds 1000% better, and pulls way harder, since the dyno tune a few weeks ago.
Not concerned with those who nay say. The overwhelming positive feedback I have been getting make it worthwhile to put up with a few people running their mouths.
I love my GMW

Quite possible. I was in Oakville on Saturday (May 28th). That being said I have seen a large few similar (white w/black hood) E36's cruising around lately.

I was considering this swap myself into a E36 M3 a few years ago.
The LS6 is a simple, economical yet powerful engine that belies it's cost.
I routinely got 30mpg with that engine in my C5Z vette when it was stock, yet able to consistantly run mid 12's at the track with street tires.
If anyone else needs a source for LS based engines and T56 driveline parts, let me know. There's Champion Motors in Scarborough that is a premier Corvette tuner shop, and is a excellent source for used GM parts from Vettes.
I just swapped out my complete T56 driveline a few months ago and replaced it with the T6060 (from the ZR1). The T56 is more than enough up to 500HP, but beyond that, the T6060 driveline is designed to hold up to 800HP, and more refined.
Good work DANIMAL, and I'm certian she'll put a smile on your face every time, especially when any M3 believes your easy prey.

Nice swap. Not the only way for V8 power in an E36...Alpina did this as well, B8 4.6

I thought he parted it all out? Tell him to come out so he can see what he is missing. Why did he stop? Did he get stuck on something?

Thanks. Yea the B8 is a nice and nothing I would like more than to own one. Due to obvious reasons however, cost/rarity, I likely never will. I would do unspeakable things to get ahold of the Alpina digital instrument display.

I remember talking to someone who had a friend try and put that motor in their e36, apparently there is major body and subframe mods to do it and they gave up, would love to have one of the alpina's though!!

I am planning on being there with the car. We can talk about the hood, I'm definitely interested.

I was involved with that build back in 1997 (Motronix, tuner that built my blue E30 attempted that conversion) Turned out too costly for the the customer once they ran into all the oil pan/subframe/steering position issues. LSx definitely a smarter choice. I visited Alpina Germany back in '04 and the rep was telling me how much money they lost from that project. I guess they didn't sell enough B8 4.6's to recoup the R&D, production costs.
