S38 Swap, complete for E30, $2200 complete

In an unexpected move this weekend, I bought a roundie 2002. That means I'm clearing out the E30 stuff, starting withe the S38 swap.
Price is pretty firm: the mounts alone were nearly $400

The S38B36 was removed from a 1991 Euro-spec BMW M5. Mileage is about 220,000 kms (137,000 miles). Removed from vehicle with VIN: WBSHD91090BK0179
The car sat for some years, but started up quickly once the intake boot was replaced with a new one. Cold compression after sitting for so long was 90-100-175-180-185-180. Once run for a few minutes, compression was 170-165-175-190-185-185.
The motor sounded great: I planned on using it in an E30, but my plans have shifted.
The engine is now removed and ready to go.

Includes everything needed to run:
Transmission (NOT M5, from 535i)
Engine w/accessories, flywheel and used clutch
ECU and harness
MAF, new intake boot and aircleaner box
300mm.de mounts for and E30 swap
M5 brake booster and reservoir
I'll throw in a nearly new M5 rad if you can use it.
Just about everything needed for the swap into an E30!!!

From E34 M5

That's a great deal from an honest seller!

That S38B36 can be dropped into any vintage BMW. There's potential as long as you have the patience.

GLWS!

Here's some motivation...sweet picture taken by Smitty

Hey Nathan, would you still happen to have the diff from that M5 by any chance?

I do. It's out of the car - needs a reseal.
It is a 3.91S. I have the axles and subframe as well, for what it's worth.
I think you bought a 3.5 from me a few years ago: how did that work out? /

Nathan

NOTE: the buyer will get dibs on a RUST FREE bronzit sedan (w/o engine) that came from Texas. I'd sell the package for $3300 firm. Add exhaust and driveshaft, and a weekend or two bolting it together...and enjoy 315 hp small car.

I WILL not sell the car before the motor goes, so please don't ask.
If the motor doesn't sell, I'll put it together and the car will be available (for more $) in the fall or spring.

I will definitely take the diff off your hands, please set it aside for me I can send you a down payment to hold if necessary, I will be driving to St kits some time in the next week or two and could drop by and pick it up on the way.....

Oh and yes I did by that M30 from you a few years back, still running great in my E28 very happy with it.

No problem: I'll hold the diff for you, let me know when works for you...I'll throw in the axles and subframe if you're interested.
Good to hear that the M30 worked out!

Update: I have an offer from out-of-country on the engine. I'd rather sell it locally, but will ship if necessary.
Anyone?
