Hey...don't suppose you're looking to trade for a truck? I've got my suburban for sale, and if I could unload it, I'd be seriously interested in this car. Looks mighty fine.

Yes, exactly. It's a 2002 Suburban Z71 with the 5.3 gas V8. Just way more vehicle than I need. Diesel wagon would be perfect.

Did you have any problems insuring it with a European VIN?

Umm... every used car was once for sale before: at the dealer. I don't know the seller but just let the man sell his car. He says it's not the car you're thinking of! Nuff said!

Hi Mark, free bump for probably the rarest BMW for sale in North America under $50K. Iíd be talking to you about this if I hadnít just flushed out my checking account on a euro e36 M3 purchase. Iíd probably still be thinking about it but my fiancťe would raise hell if I sold off our clapped out WRX wagon. Just donít make me an offer I canít refuse

For other freaks like me who think a diesel E36 wagon is nearly as cool as cool as a Euro M3 how about a little more information? Is this the 318TD or the intercooled 318TDS? What kind of range and fuel economy do you get? What's the exterior colour, what small stuff does it need, that sort of thing.

Cheers!
George

Just saw the other posts about insurance.

Euro VIN is a huge PITA and I was getting nervous I wouldn't be able to find reasonable insurance. However State Farm will hook you up as well as one of the board members on here who is a insurance broker.

I bought it. Real honest, original car and a heck of a nice guy selling it. I'm always wary of cars with stories but this one checked out 100%. Everything documented and straight-up.

Owned an e46 and e30 but this is my first e36 and definitely my first *diesel* e36.

It's a 318 tds, BTW. No idea of range yet but I filled it up and after 120kms, it's barely down an 1/8 tank.
