windshield washer fluid tank question
my old 96 328i had 5 litre big tank..
and my 96 328is has the small 2.5 small tank..
but theres some 328is i saw with 5 litre tank...
its not a big deal but i jus wanna know why it was bigger on some and smaller on some?
my guestimates are :
only winter package ones came with bigger tank?
sport package came with smaller tank?
ones wit the factory alarm came with smaller tank due to the alarm bell under the hood?
lol...thats my stab at it.

Headlight washers - 5l tank
No headlight washers - 2.5l tank
Since headlight washers are part of the winter package, you are correct, winter package = 5l tank

My 328is has 2.5L no headlight washers, sport pkg. My 95 325i had 5L, headlight washers.

Maybe it was replaced? Any idea if the car was ever hit in the front?

it could be because the nose grill was changed to 97+ model for the newer grill look.
lol it doesnt really matter if we cant figure out why . lol

There is NO question about it!!! The one with washers has the big tank, and the other is small, no matter what model, could be 318 or M3! Not all 15 year old cars are original, so some might be different, but from factory SickFinga is right....

never been in an accident. The previous owner might have replaced it due to always carrying the extra 3L jug in the trunk. Either way I am not complaining.
