Pirelli 240 Sottozero's Vs. Michelin Pilot Alpin PA3

Close to making a decision on my winter package for my 161's -

The Pirelli 240 Sottozero's or the Michelin Pilot Alpin PA3's in 225/45/17 all around...

In Canada (simply tire etc.) they are $900-$1100 bucks.. whereas on Tirerack they are $650-$750...!!!

I have no problem shipping and picking up in the states.. Any opinions on which tyre might be better (both have good reviews, and the Pirelli's are actually 100$ cheaper) Anyplace in GTA that might offer competitive prices?
