Phantom bulb problem...

I got the dreaded "Light Bulb Out" symbol on the dash and I'm trying to locate the actual bulb that's out.

I found one brake light (pax side) that was out - but when I took out the rear light module (the car was still running - brake was depressed) the bulb instantly turned on! Grr.. I looked at the wiring - but everything looked normal.

I reinstalled the light module - light was still working.

Turned off the car. Turned it back on - depress brake - then the bulb was out again!!!

Anyone with some advice??

try changing the bulb. make sure the bulb is the same rating as the one you take out
