I had to drop the price on my 325i in Dec WAY lower than I wanted to after having it for sale for two months. Only because I finally realized that even though it was clean and had lots of parts replaced, the people buying cars don't really care unless their enthusiasts. Even then it's rare.

I love the first gen Liberty. If they were just a little bit bigger I would have one instead of my 530i. Yours looks great!

I didn't look at the options on each, but there's base, limited and renegade in there.

Hey man.. I don't think they were trying to jack your sale.. They were just trying to help you out by letting you know that your asking price is too high and you wouldn't get any takers at the current price. We all want to get the highest return on resale but you have to index it to the market price for the product. In this case, the market price is around 8K with many owners letting them go for around 7... I fully agree that almost 14K is way way too high for that car. Buyers would rather spend an extra 3-5K and buy themselves a 2012 compass or wrangler if they were interested (both can be had under 18K).

PS - I hate jeeps

If a vehicle has not sold in 3 months, then something must be wrong.

I just sold a vehicle in 1 week using autotrader. I cleaned and waxed the vehicle - it looked great.

I researched the autotrader, and the wholesale prices for my vehicle.
I also double checked what a large scale wholesaler would pay for my car.
I had an etest already done (within 30 days, and pre safety inspection in hand).

I priced it accordingly, and it sold quickly. I think I got a fair price, but obviously thought it was worth more to me.

Some tips.
Find out what your wholesale value is and work updwards ($4000-$6000)
Post the Trim Level (Sport, Limited).
Post if it's 4x4 or not.
Indicate 4 or 6 cycl (3.7 which is 6 right).

Sell the truck with all seasons, and keep the snows for later.
You gain nothing by offering snow tires, and you usually end up giving the tires away with the deal.

Wait until october, and post the snow tires for sale on kijii.

The 4x4's usually increase in price around the first snow fall.

Exactly. Its kinda like tough love. We dont wanna fvck up you sale, Id rather see you price it according to the market and get a much quicker sale. At the current price you are literally dreaming. However, if you do get that much for it I suggest you get into auto sales, with that kind of profit youd be making $200k a year. Some quick market research tells anyone, including potential buyers, that youre asking wayyy to much. A 2 second search show many newer Libertys for th same dough...
