replacing nav for a regular deck,need help

I have a 2002 330ci with the factory nav that went to crap so i bought a pioneer deck to replace it,heres where the trouble starts.My local stereo shop tells me they dont make a unit to fit in the slot for a regular deck,second they keep giving me the wrong plug (so i dont have to cut my harness),they say thats all that is listed.can someone please help me,thanks
