the tranny oil cooler ruptured on my wifes american POS.the tranny cooling lines run inside the radiator so the tranny fluid and the coolant intermixed.
so i flushed the cooling system after changing the cooling system.that part went ok.then i proceded to drain the tranny but since there is no drain plug,i was going to drop the pan and drain the tranny that way.
when i was removing the bolts that hold the pan on the tranny, one of the corner bolts cracked the casing and a chunk of the case broke off.#$&@
my question is this,do you think this can be repaired with silicone.is there any pressure in the bottom of the tranny?i know there is pressure in the upper part of the tranny, but in the bottom where the fluid and pump is?
please help before i take a sledge to it.
forgot to mention its an auto.
