happened to me a couple times. once with a fox. slam the brakes and swerve to the direction with most distance. the guy behind me should be paying attention if he's that close. i would also not come to a complete stop.

well instinctively i think most people would swerve/brake to avoid hitting the rabbit but you should def just keep on going and hope the little sucker gets out of the way.

I mean in the alternative with no time to really look to see if its safe to swerve/stop you could be held at fault for causing the accident and your rates etc. would go up not to mention possible injuries etc.

Human life > animals (even though humans are the problem)

If it was me i'd probably just slow down to give him a bit more time but better then getting rear ended or get into an accident.

The chick with the camera was cool at least.

It pisses me off when people (mostly chicks) get overly emotional if an animal gets hit by a car. It's not like cars are something new, they've been around for a long time, animals should know better by now than to run out in front of a car lol

i swerved to avoid a cat last year.it was the first snowfall and i pushed the fun button(DSC).lost control and hit a curb.bent the rear lower wishbone,blew a shock,destroyed a rim.next time hit the cat.
