i'd just like to point out that there is (what is in my mind a LARGE silent majority) who has lots of opinions on this matter, but since this thread is pretty much analagous to chimps throwing feces at each other, we keep out of it.
whats the point?
It doesn't matter how well thought out your argument is, how many facts you bring to the table, how well written your argument is, the first thing that any one against protesting period will quote is that "BE HAPPY THAT THIS IS CANADA And not CUBA or (insert 3rd world country here)."
Despite being in uniform and having his TTC identification, transit employee Benjamin Elroy Yau was arrested by G20 police and spent 36 hours in custody.
A TTC fare collector spent a “terrifying” 36 hours in custody after being arrested in uniform on his way to work during Saturday’s G20 summit protests.
Benjamin Elroy Yau, 37, said he was walking along College St. to the Queen’s Park subway station before his 6 p.m. shift when two police officers “tackled” him to the ground and yelled at him to stop resisting arrest.
“I told them I wasn’t resisting arrest, that I was on my way to work. I was in full uniform with TTC shirt, pants, full ID, my employee card, everything,” Yau said on Wednesday. “They said, ‘Really? Well, you’re a prisoner today.’ ”
Moments before, another man had run into him but kept going, Yau said, adding that man was also arrested. There was no protest in sight and not many people in the street, he said.

probably bad timing for the police, but a group senators in Ottawa are lobbying for extra police powers in obtaining DNA samples. soon, if your kid gets charged with trespassing for skateboard or whatever, their dna will be on file for life.
im starting to believe that the people that broke windows and burnt cars were hired by the govt.
it makes no sense, they drove a police car into down town. they got out of the car.. they encircled it with riot police, then they fell back, and left the car there for 6 hours..... and only after 6 hours was it lit on fire by alleged "protesters."
how does that make sense, that a car is abandoned for 6 hours.... no tow trucks??? the police have thousands of those...... weird.
The second video is amazing and I was there behind the white grayhound bus. Props for the guy who taped all this.
The lessons learned from past weekend is and reflected here by some clearly, they want you to 'think' small.
Get a job, do shopping, read(but only paperbacks), be a fan of xxx team and cause all kinds of sh!t on the roads but don't ask, question or even act. And we call this system as..?
