tinting rear windows

PO previously tinted and removed the tint from the rear window.

Is it possible to tint rear windows over the antenna, and defroster without having it bubble ?

there will always be some bubbling because of the defrost lines, but if you get a good job done than it can be kept to a minimum, and pretty much unnoticeable unless your right up close looking at it

When I had my windows tinted on the E36 there was virtually no noticible bubbles. There might be in your case if the window was previously tinted unless its cleaned properly to remove all/any left over residue.

Some people have been known to sand down the dot matrix a little bit then applying the tint

You shouldn't see bubble. It would be a bad tint job. There might be a slight gap where the defrost line but you should see it from standing point.
