injector upgrade

hey there

im looking into doing a tune up prior for the spring and summer weather come along, i was looking to upgrade the injectors but was wondering if there were injectors out there that made it so i wouldn't have to change to much to the motor !

or would it be best to just stick with the oem injectors all together?

I am not sure on that, but bigger injectors to far away form stock will require a DME(ECU) reprogramming. Stock injectors are sort of an odd shaped the nosel sit were deep inside. Go for a stock replacement, less problems. By the way to get injector out is a bitch, make sure you are inside and have a lot of patients and a bit of a strength, they don't come up out easy.

The only time injectors need to be upgraded is if you're running boost. If there's nothing wrong with your current injectors, don't replace them.

That's correct. Just leave the stock ones in there and replace with the same if you have defective ones.

Replacing injectors is NOT part of the scheduled maintenance routine.

I have no idea why you'd want to replace them if yours arent leaking or cracked.
