e36 318 VS 325.....

OK besides the obvious power difference, what are any differences ?

I would prefer a 325 6 cylinder but just cant seem to find many ....lots of 318 4 bangers though.

Are the 4 cyl's still a fun car ?......what can you guys tell me ?

Same car just smaller engine, and a good change of having a lsd rear end where that is not available on most other E36 except the M. I love my 318.

i have a 325 with lsd, great on gas. not as good as a 318 would be though, decent power (i like the way 3rd gear pulls) comfortable to drive long distances and handle really good. what more do you want? I really like my car thats for sure. its been very good

so basically i mean if i can afford and find a 325 6 cylinder then do that, but a 318 would still be cool......i did see the supercharger kits..bit out of my price range but very sweet candy, lol

forget the SC kits... $1500 later, a turbo, a mild tune, basicly slicks, LSD, and you get this with your 318 \/

I had both in back in the days. 325 is much smoother and 318 is lack of power. If you are not looking for power, 318 is a pretty good car to drive.
