drive different with ix clutch?

Hey Guys, I have ALWAYS had a slight burning clutch smell when driving my car, especially after some spirited driving. Really erks me but I could do nothing. I know how to use a clutch just fine, and noone has ever said anything about my footwork.
Then I see an episode of top gear where Clarkson is driving a 4wd car racing another car for the straight line time, and mentions that he has to take it easy on the start so he doesn't burn the clutch because of the 4wd/awd

getting rid of the obvious: dead pedal, not riding it, not launching, rev matching. I still get the smell? Sometimes I've actually seen smoke from under the car twice from it.

Can anyone essplain dis? There's obviously more pressure on the clutch but....What does Clarkson mean?

I think he is mostly just making conversation. The s4 never had this no matter how you drove it.

Have you ever changed the clutch disc? Was the flywheel resurfaced upon replacement?

doesn't the s4 have a torque sensing system though? Wouldn't that affect the stress since it would send the power to the wheel with the most grip? And not to all 4 wheels?

Or am I talking out of my ass? I'm a noob when it comes to this stuff and I don't know audi

It does have a TQ sensing center diff, but that doesn't matter because if you dump the clutch it's going to send the power where ever it needs to to get you going quickly.

When I launch my S4 at the track or on the street I don't smell anything and it's violent

Sounds like your pressure plate isn't applying enough pressure.
