Problem with passenger side window

the car im referring to is an 07 328xi coupe

the initial time i noticed the problem was while opening the passenger side door, the window automatically opened completely. When i tried to close it, the window struggled to go up (it was pulsing, would go up about 3cm everytime i lifted the button).

The pulsing of the window is now persistant, either going up or down. as far as opening the door, it sometimes triggers the window to go down and sometimes it doesnt.

i cant seem to find much information about this online or asking around so any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Sounds like something electronic for sure. I'm wondering if water or dirt got into the electronic assembly inside the door and making it act funny. I would try to soak the latch part with wd40 to clean it out the best you could and keep opening and closing the door each time you spray for the wd40 to get in there and see if that helps. If it helps, then just spray some white grease in there as a final step since the wd40 will wash away all the grease. This is probably the best first step you can do before taking off the door panels. If this doesn't help, then you will probably have to get behind the door panel accessing the switch to possibly replace it.
