Exclamation Xenon Headlights: HELP

Having a problem with one of the headlights, keeps flickering, on and off... sometimes it will even go off for a few minutes and when i tap on the car hood or headlight lense it goes on.. everything seems connected properly though...

anyone have problems with condensation inside the lense..maybe causing the xenon some troubles starting up because of moisture??

on that note...anyone have e46 2001 325i headlight housing passenger side??

switch the bulbs around. it may be the bulb or it can be the ballast. see if the flickering follows the bulb.

^^bingo.

If you swap bulbs left to right and the problem switches sides, you need bulbs. If it does not, you need a ballast / check wiring.

I noticed the same thing on my car over the last couple of weeks . . . my right light flickered a couple of times when I hit a bump. The other morning, the bulb went right out, but if I turned the lights off and on it would come back to life. It did this a few times that morning and the problem hasn't come back since. Weird!

Does anyone know how much a Xenon bulb runs for at the dealer?

Thanks!
