My New Exhaust

I got my new exhaust put on a couple of days ago. It is a stainless steel cat-back from Magnaflow. It sounds awsome. A little loud though. Soon as I get some pics, I will post them

How much? :)

Did you change the cat-back configuration? Are you using single or dual pipe? (what size). How much was the system? Who installed it!

SOunds cool!!

Exhaust

I got my cat-back from a place in burlington called Budget Brake and Muffler. They have great prices. I got my Magnaflow cat-back for $520. I switched the 2 pipes to 1. It is 2 1/4 inch pipe. The guy said that if you go any bigger, you will loose your low end torque.

I have the exact same setup

y-pipe from cats to a straight pipe to the back where it meets the single inlet of the magnaflow muffler.
The muffler is the chrome, stainless DTM tipped one.

i think it sounds much better without resonators on there. With resonators the sound goes away above 2500rpm, and then the car is quiet (which some people like i guess....but not me =)

i also felt more of a boost in performance without the resonators on.

my next step is to replace my cat with a single cat because i can't afford the bmw oem one =/

but as for the exhaust, i love it, but i might change it because it doesn't suit what i'm doing with my car. It sounds like a race-car, but i think i want to switch to something softer.

but i do have to say i am happy with the results

also this was on a 325i
