Teaser: New Carbon Fiber Parts for e36

Finally found some time to work in wrapping of some e36 parts for a buddies ride. He's a site sponsor: Simplycars http://www.simplycars.org/

Here's some pictures of the parts so far. They still need about 2 more coats of resin and serious sanding before clear coating.

wow, very nice work! I used to fabricate fiberglass body kits for race bikes so I have an appreciation for the skill it takes to laminate carbon fiber..clear gel coat = zero margin for imperfections!

Funny you should mention fiberglass bike body kits..... I was just delivered a CBR600 fiberglass race kit complete as I'm sponsoring a buddy of mine's Superbike team. Run in the SOAR (southern ontario Association of Racing) Superbike series. Maybe we can hook-up when I'm about to wrap these cowlings.... I could an extra set of experienced hands for these I think!!

Sure, I'm cool with that. I see you're in Brampton- I am too actually so just let me know when you're ready. I'm actually hoping to compete in the SOAR series next season. I hear they're going to expand and hold some of the series at the new race track opening up in Grand Bend.

Very cool!!! SOunds like we're going to be competing next yr..... Almost certain he's in SOAR as he mentioned Toronto Motorsport park, Cayuga, and Grand Bend as tracks they were competing @ this yr.... probably start next weekend. Need to order about 6-7 yrds of fabric before I start. I have about 2 yrds remaining and that may cover what I have to wrap right now.... Going to be ordering this week and it takes about 4 days for delivery (from California). Just confirming another cloth for another member for their HPF parts they are sending me to wrap. Have my first Intake Manifold to wrap! well, complete M3 HPF intake system actually....but he wants a 1x1 plain weave pattern, so I have to order a yrd of that too.....
