so a cop comes into my shop today....
for an emssion test, so whatever i was asking him questions about street racing and i ask him if NOS is illegal, he says yes AND no, NOS is NOT!!!! illegal to have in your car, it IS illegal if you are caught using it on the street OR if u have it hooked up wrong

Of course you are allowed to have it in your car..but its not allowed to be connected...so whats the point, unless its for show/track.

Yeah, of course its legal, your aloud to have it in your car, just not hooked up and operational.

The same goes for radar detectors. You can transport them (sealed and boxed), but you can't have them in the open or plugged in.

no no u misunderstood, u are allowed to have it hooked up! if they find that its hooked up the wrong way then ur f*cked

Dude its illegal , You can have the bottle in the car aslong as it is empty and it is not hooked , 1( it is a hazardous gas and you need permits to transport it.) believe me I know I got the run around when I had my Camaro.

so if its hooked up into the throttle body u wont get in trouble but if its hooked up to your head lights its ok..lol....that doesnt make sense....do u know how many tickets my buddy got in his civic from having nos...its illegal....

vito is right, you need a license to have it (anyone can take the test..) but it doesnt permit you to have it hooked up, only the bottle in the car like you are transporting it.
like tlaselva said...bottle's are for babys...but then again nitrous is kool..we learned how it worked in class, and i showed my teacher up by proving her wrong! haha it was so awesome
