Milage and condition are two different things...You can get a low milage car that was neglected (or not even original milage), or you can find one that has a few Km but is well kept. The KEY to this is records!!! Find out as much possible about what was done to the car, and when.

my 325 has just passed 350,000km bought it last year with 270,000 and its still running great. all i did was new plugs, valve cover gasket and i have a small oil leak which i will fix in the next little while. oil feed line, just need to put in a couple of o rings. been very very good to me. if its well maintained you could easily see somewhere in the half mil range in klicks easy

just passed 255, 500 on my '96 328i yesterday and still runs awesome - and gets up and runs like a scalded cat!
Did a tune up when I bought it last September, and that's it.

That's good to know! I have a 318ti with 131 500km, I should keep it for looong and loong time!
BUT the 1000$ question is : It this the original engine, on your bud's car?

OEM suspension wears our fast... like i think its usually 25,000km to 35,000 km.. first thing i did was replace mines shocks with a longer lasting koni ones..

Suspension is all stock but I have a Remus exhaust. I'd like to get a stiffer suspension (at least only coils) Do anybody know who makes stiffer/lower coils for e36 318ti?
