A bunch of us from around the community are planning to go to one of the BMW CCOttawa/hull chapter events at Calabogie this summer, you should join us. I'll post something up, when the date is decided.

Been there 5-6 times now. Truly an amazing track. Very technical with a lot of blind corners and elevation changes. It should be on everyone list of must visits. Every time I go there are always a ton of Americans who drive 10+ hours because its there favorite track. Some of those boys down south have a heck of a lot of money. The trailers they bring are often more expensive then most cars on the track.

Yeah, it looks like it could be a good sized group heading down there. As soon as I get more info, I'll start a thread here in track junkies. Look for it in late jan, early feb.
On a different note, some of us may be heading to Watkins Glen in upstate New York this summer as well with the Genesee Chapter of the BMW Club of America, so I'll also make a thread regarding that weekend.

Oh I am so down for that. I drove Calabogie once, but I would definitely like to drive WGI.

Less than 4 hours from Toronto. Cross to N.Y. at 1000 Islands and another approx 1.5 hours from there.^^
If you're from the West end you could cross at Fort Erie and then about 2.5 hours from there. I usually go east as I'm in the East end.

If it is less then 4 hrs that's shorter then calabogie, I would rather try Watkins Glen first!

^ Oh you will. Even just the scenery during summertime is worth the drive. The town has a nice atmosphere and if you are a racing buff, there is the Motorsport Library... Awesome way to waste a day just watching old videos and leafing through old books.

Count me in for The Glen and Calabogie... best Canadian track around IMO... 20+ corners (mostly blind)... wide as a highway!
