e30 m30 TCD kit build.
So I know i spoke of a 2JZ, and ill probably still do it on another project. But lucky for me, and unfortunate for devon (e30kid89) that he got into a fender bender and parted he's car out.
So i purchased he's hole engine, with TCD kit and what not a few weeks ago and started tearing into my engine.
Drained all coolant today, got intake, exhaust, rad, thermostat and head off today. My top end gasket kit should be here monday, and be able to start putting that back together.
ARP head studs in, better theromstat going in, all new top end gaskets, clutch and fly wheels. Also got RX-7 Calipers with hawk HP pads from
BIG_D earlier this year.
the few weeks i've had devons engine apart i painted and polished the intake and valve cover with VHT wrinkle+ . going to paint all the charge piping with the same paint as its all banged up.
Going to bring the exhaust into work and clean that up and weld some new flanges onto it.
Tomorrow probably get the oil filter canister and oil pan out, get the fitted ones in, cut and fit intercooler into bumper.
Any one have a rad, or can suggest a good one for the m30? when we pulled mine out, it was killed.
Onto the photos that i have so far, my camera kept dying and couldn't find the charger. so bare with me

You will need adaptors,
if craz-an doesnt have them, you can get them off r3vlimited.

haha dude, as soon as i pulled mine out and saw it. i was like shit, shoulda grabbed that rad. Ill probably drive out there to grab that coil pack wire and see you. Did you have to cut into the rad support to fit the intercooler?
Update: got all old wiring harness out, all accessories. sanded old gasket out and pistons, was alot of carbon in there. Started to do alittle shaving and wiring tucking things. measured out how im going to cut intercooler.
Also insulated the garage, Just need to get a natural gas heater in there and we'd be rockin.
bad news , broke a chain guide so now have to go into that. Will post some more pictures tommorrow. exhaust and lazy.
Will be looking for VDO gauges, passenger side fog light lense,

Been reading into this. I like.
However I'd have to sell my 15" BBS RM with brand new Falken 615K tires.

its a good, cheaper way to upgrade. Can probably find the brakes for abit more than a hundred, and theres a group buy for the adaptors on r3v for like 150 i think?
