Heat the lock up with a propane torch then spray some graphite in there or something, usually they come free.

Not going to bother. My gf called CAA and they will tow it to the shop Saturday for free and hopefully his donor car is in nice shape. I know his needs a tranny so hopefully I can get him to swap mine out and at the same time change the bushings ect. I don't mind waiting for him to do that since I'll be getting a way better shape E30. Mine has hit the last straw. To much needs to be replaced so getting a better one makes more sense and also will be cheaper on the wallet

Yeah, and it's better than having to drive an E36 318

bahaha, I don't mind, as long as I'm rocking a BMW. Actually Silver Snail has a nice red 4-door 318 E30 for sale that I might scoop up during xmas if I can get ahold of her tomorrow and figure something out

I have an alternator for you Steve, lemme know if you end up needing it. It is confirmed working.

I might have a trunk lock somewhere too, with a broken section, but maybe you could use to put together one working trunk latch. Yours for free if you want it.

I'll let you know what's going on Jay. Thanks for the offer, just let me figure out what's going to happen first with the car so I don't end up taking you up on the offer and junking the car lol.

Hey Steve.... I have been out of the forum for a while busy with other stuff.

But like I already told you ...your car is a parts car...like rusty was(took me a while to accept this..).

I also have an alternator if you need but you need to find another shell.

Reality sucks sometimes but its just the way it is with these old cars.

How's Ottawa treating you?

Hey man! Ottawa is treating me well. Couldn't complain since it's given me a job and something to do.

I hear you on the parts car. I was actually saving up for a nicer e30 from Toronto that has a swap done or needs very little work. But unfortunately, someone mixed the battery terminals at Canadian tire (the black and red caps) so it blew my car lol. Now me and gf are looking at a fully loaded 2002 dodge intrepid. Thinking ill just start saving once again for a newer E46 or something and use that for a summer car. Just need something that will handle in winter and be comfortable for the drives back home in Toronto.

I work only 5 minutes from where I live. But your X5 is going to be too god damn expensive for me lol. This dodge intrepid is at an amazing price and also comes with 8 years of service records from the GOV (diplomat car).
