Autovation garage!!!
Just wanted to post something about them.
I first put a thread up here about being new to ottawa and wanted to know a reliable mechanic in the area. With a number of good posts and reply's about autovation i decided to go there yesterday.
I had a leak in the trunk of the x3 and thought i may need weather stripping.
Took it there and they advised me that no parts were needed and it was a rail out of line from the sunroof.
They only charged me labor!!!!
So my first impression and experience was a great one. Very honest guys there. They could have told me i needed seals and i would have never known.
I will bring it back there for sure. That's all a customer can ask for is an honest mechanic.
Thanks again for the initial replies to attend there.
Autovation gets two thumbs up from another happy customer...

Yuppers! Derek and mike have been nothing but great to me - honest, reliable, affordable and always manage to squeeze me in no matter how busy they are. Fantastic all around

I had a friend recommend I go there to have my M3 checked over, is there anyone from Autovation on the forum? Wondering if they know their way around a transmission

Where are they located? I'd like my sunroof to be adjusted as well

Mike is the only guy who's ever worked on my car. (Just once, lol!) For those who know me, that's a big deal.

Just took a quick look at their website, says they can do transmission repairs!

Wonder how much they'll charge to change the bushing and such in my car :S My shifter is so sloppy. Worse then a abused who^&%re lol. Maybe I'll slowly get my car repaired by them and actually get new floors welded in along with new bumpers ect. So much crap to fix on my old girl.

DIY for the bushings. Well, the E36 is, I can't imagine the E30 being much different.

I'd like to buy Majic's E30 that he has for sale next year. But I don't think I'll have the funds before it gets sold. Finding a decent E30 is like pulling teeth, no one really has one. I was looking into the E36 TI. Doesn't look half shabby and I'm sure that you can turbo it and put some $$ to make it stand out a bit more. I'm really impressed with yours and that green one (I forget buddies name) that always come for the meet on Friday.
