Tires and Balancing ect..

Hey guys. Buying my first set of tires ever. I don't know where to pick a set of 2 brand new tires up front. Also want to balance and put new valve stems on the front set of rims. Atm I run :

Federal Steel Series 535
205/50R16
87V

I'd like to keep within the same tire rating (something medium, not soft nor hard).

The car is lowered also as most of you guys know so I would probably have to have the car jacked up and put on stands in order to do this as I want to swap the rear tires to the front and put the fresh new tires on the back but balancing all the tires.

Anyone have any recomendation for tire shops that could give a fair price on tires? I looked at Tire Rack and Kuhmo has Tires for 65.00$ each (all-season) which would cost about 200$ (after shipping).

Quick link to a place where I found the same tire @ tire rack.

I've had good luck in the past with Deals4wheels here in town. Install and balance is included with a tire purchase, and they don't charge much to swap tires over.

A really great parts supplier for tires in Ottawa is Premier Performance, over in Vanier. It's a MASSIVE operation and Sean can get the best deals on most stuff.

612 321 1112 is their number.

Are the rear wheels out of balance that you want to get them rebalanced?

Doesn't Zarbat work at a shop? He's got the pretty hoist pics and stuff...

Speaking of which, I have to get some tires swapped to my old rims. I'm not enjoying the odd offset on my new winter rims.

I'm not 100% sure. I can feel a little wobble in the shifter so I assume it's a rear outta balance and the front shacks at 80km and then goes away at like 90km. Rather just get them balanced to be sure. Thanks guys for the info

*shifty*

Get the tires used from kijiji or usedottawa if you can. Sometimes you can find a decent used set and save lots of $$. I bought 4 almost new 16" Michelin tires last year for $150.

Not sure about Kumho tires but Toyo and Sumitomo (HTR ZIII) tires are supposed to be great tires for the $.

I'll have a look on kijiji and usedottawa then before I got to a shop for sure. Never thought about buying a used tire.

I rocked Sumi's for the Summer. They were pretty good. No complaints here.

That website you gave me Jay, has BFGoodwrench A/S tires for 120$ each. Not a bad price at all!

Atm, I don't have a set of each rims (maybe next year) where I can put winter tires on them and store them someplace during summer. So I have to rock A/S's atm till I can afford something different.
