Got rear-ended, got a question

I got rear-ended yesterday evening. Fortunately we are all ok, and this is the first time I've been hit so I would like to get the opinion of some members who have experience dealing with damaged cars and insurance.

I've attached one picture of the damage below, hopefully I will get more soon. The car is only 5 months old, do you think they will attempt to repair it or write it off? I would prefer to have it replaced completely. The insurance guy is supposedly going to take a look at it tomorrow. If they do decide to just repair, how would I go about to try and request a replacement instead. The accident was 100% at fault of the guy who rear-ended me.
