did you back that up or only do it once?
low 14's is the norm for a stock e36 m3. (yes of course some have hit high 13's)
those guys with the slow times couldve been poor drivers. we all know they drive every make.

No.. No stock E36 M3 will run a 13. They run mid to high 14's.
My car pulls on E36 m3's and my car runs low 14's.

that was me running on wednesday. first time on the drag strip with that car. i was running 15.4 at first for a couple runs, then 15.1, then i was running 14.8 accross the board. not a quarter mile driver. still workin on my launch. its like driving on rain out there. e36 m3 canadian spec runs mid to high 14s. the euro spec with over 300 hp runs very high 13's (13.9ish) professionally driven. also when you do a quarter mile run on a dyno, the e36 m3 canadian spec runs that as well. those are in perfect condition, no wind resistance, no traction issues, no loss of direction. so given all that, im pretty happy with my runs.
that was my friend running the e46 m3. he was running 13.8. first runs were shit like anyones (also his first time on the track). that car has the shark innovator chip, intake, and an AA exhaust. his tires were old rock solid michelins that dont even squeak when you peal them out. all in all great fun at the track.

nice. thats impressive. majority of the 328's ive seen are stuck in 15 sec land.
and yes it actually does happen. its about as common as a stock ls1 camaro running 12's. not everyday but its happened and more than once.
low 14's should be attainable by anyone who can drive decently(in an e36 m3) with a car thats running well.

Sir is right. its all in the driving. getting a good launch is pretty hard learn. my friend had an automatic trans am with a 100 shot of nitro; he ran an 11.8 on street tires. and i dont think its possible for a 328 to be running mid 14's. that means if you got in my car, you would be hitting 13s. but then again...anything is possible.

hostys brother had a 2 door automatic, i havent been in to many others.
We would be literally door to door, until like after 80km, hed switch to third and start to pull abit.
I actually maybe shouldnt have suggested that, i dont think it was well taken care of either.
