The owner is finish, he posted his car and build on r3v about 3 weeks ago.

http://r3vlimited.com/board/showthread.php?t=180631

The build is absolutely insane, he combined parts from 30 years of bmw engines to make a monster

His only mod to the 4 wheel drive was to reinforce the front differential

iX's are awd, not 4wd. This is a badass build. I need standalone + boost.

4wd( four wheel drive) is awd (all wheel drive) with 4 wheels.....
I think you are confusing all wheel steering .

awd = full time (seen on cars like WRX's generally)
4wd = locking diff, selectable, etc (what you get in trucks like 4runners, where they're 2wd until the 4wd is engaged)

lol wasnt trying to be smart or nothing but 4wd and awd is the same term. The difference in full time or selective is not stated. I know you guys in your side of the ocean call it like that to determine full time and selective but it really isnt like that.
There is also the common misconception that 4WD = Low range and High Range gearing
AWD = Only high range gearing
Again this is not entirely true.
In any case its only three letters and i dont care and this arguement is the same as asking someone in the States and someone in Europe how many continents there are!
