That lists all retails having ANY type of hunter balancer. They don't limit it to the 9700.

Are you sure?

Then what does this statement from the website mean ?

Locate A GSP9700
This service is only available for locations within the United States, Germany and Canada.

Maybe that is because the dealership most likely works only on MB cars.

yeah so, if you check the search feature it comes up with a lot of dealers, including Parkview BMW, Honda, Toyota, etc, it pretty much list all the dealers using Hunter products, but for some reason our dealer isn't listed even though we have a GSP9700 Road Force balancer.

What's the advantage to a hunter roadforce balancer? Every wheel i've balanced on a regular wheel balancer has been fine.

It puts a force on the wheel, to simulate the wheel being on the car. Makes for more accurate balancing.

not really...they bring a wheel down onto the tire while it spins up to determine/simulate road force on the wheel. this will tell you if they did a good job balancing it. Most guys don't bother to try and line up the rim with the tire to eliminate the need for more weights.
Of course no tire or rim is absolutely true so they try and get as close as possible. If they did a shitty job balancing it then either the tire is shitty, rim bent or both

I dont understand how this makes anything more accurate. Zero is zero, no?

Yes, I'm sure.

I looked into it and found that some of the listings they have don't use a Road Force GSP9700 balance machine. Some of them use Hunter equipment, although its not the 9700.

I'm also sure some of them are correctly listed as well.

An out-of-round tire or bent rim could be 'balanced' on other balancers. The Road Force takes more factors into account.

... so unless you bought a china tire which is a triangle instead a circle, you're good with a regular balancer?
