what do you want to do? i'm mainly using my for torrents (sometimes) internet, music, photo storage.
so i'll use vuze for torrents, safari for internet, itunes for music and iphoto for pictures.

the best thing about a mac is the stability. don't care what anyone else says. you'll hardly have any errors or problems with a mac. oh, and the ease of use.

I dont see how someone who uses their mac the way you do can make claims about stability. You are not doing anything intense on it. If you were doing animation rendering, and other such cpu/os stresses, I could see some validity to your claim.

And what errors/stability issues has Windows XP and Windows 7 and Windows 98 generated that you can mention to me and have seen first hand? Or, at the very least, what stability issues have affected the average Joe PC?

For what its worth... I have seen literally 30-40 Wedding photographers/videographers in the past 2-3 weeks. And they all use macs, it got to a point where i started asking why all i seen was macs in their studios. They all said pretty much the same thing, PC's cant handle the stress they put these things thru for video/film editing/ rendering etc. They are alot more stable compared to PC's.

your going to want to go to system preferences and set up your expose hot corners they are one of the best things about mac

also i think he was talking about the stability in the sense of not having to deal with viruses and how they slow down your computer over time

What a Mac has is more programs/apps written specifically for it in regards to photo editing, video and sound.

Its not that a PC cant handle it, but when those programs where made specifically to run on mac os, and have been updated and re-written for several years, is it any wonder they dont work as well on a PC?

Also, Macs have the same hardware as PCs now anyway. Its the Operating system thats the difference and the apps written specifically for that os.

P.S. Macs have viruses too. And they are just as bad if not worse. There are alot of amatuer virus makers that use linux/unix to make their attacks on the PC... What do you think the Mac OS is based off?
