Looking for: Engine oil, tranny fluid, and driver seat

Hi guys,
I got my E34 not too long ago, and its time for an oil change, possible tranny fluid,and i have experienced a problem with the driver seat reclination. Would like to know:
1) whats the best/ recommended oil for a 95' BMW 540i/ automatic?
2) where can i pick the oil up?
3) Aparantly BMW's have this problem with the drivers seat not reclining fully, as only one side reclines and the other stays in one spot.. i have been told theres a minor issue with the cable that is attatched to the motor..etc.. what should i do or where can i get it fixed?

as far as oil i would look at either castrol syntec or mobile one, and royal purple which are all available at Canadian tire or Napa autoparts, tranny fluid the same i would either get lucas or royal purple and the seat issue i would try one of the sponsered vendors for parts as they always have some good prices and stock on hand!

i used motul once and liked although i found it broke down faster, i have also found liqui moly good too but cost wise wasn't worth it. I really like royal purple for some reason it seems to last alot longer especially in the hotter months of summer and i can jusitify the cost of it.

So in your opinion, what's the best bang for the buck, the best one to buy out of all, Royal Purple in terms of engine oil? And do you have the same engine, 4.0L V8?

i would use royal purple for engine, i have the m42, s50 and m52 engines in my cars and have expiremented with all oil types fo the best result and found the royal purple to be the best especially at high engin temps. the same applies to any engine alot of the guys i know with 8's use royal purple.
