E30's have put RM's on and they generally start out with an et of 35. Does the difference between a 15" and 16" change things too?

There are a few factors to play with. The 15x6.5 et33 stock RMs clear the front struts by a few mm. This is why they're a solid choice to widen for an E30.

You do gain strut clearance as wheel diameter increases. The strut assemblies are tilted slightly inwards towards the top; this gives larger wheels more space to go.

Hrm, interesting.

I suppose a worst case scenario would be to buy the wheels re-drilled and see whats the smaller spacer I can use (they're generally cheaper then adapters).

Regardless this is not in the immediate future. Still waiting on lips for the 17"s...

I'm hoping to get paid from my two jobs before we leave for Germany May 5th so I can buy tires for these wheels... Me getting a 330 didn't pan out... Lucky for retro :p

205-45 front, 215-45 rear. Already have the front tires, need to buy the rears.

They do exist.... It will be lower and those tires are not here to stay... Oh BTW I finally DID get my car!

Annnd what they looked like on my BFs car in their entirety...

I'll just say that the Z4 bodyline is much more forgiving when it comes to silly offsets...

Now if someone can show me how to "roll" my cabrio's rear fenders....

So far no leaks, I hope I was able to provide some info. I may have another set of 3-piece wheels in the near future. Still need rear body work to accommodate my redic rear offsets.
