Any idea as to whether the ECU has to be shipped to the US for flashing (on E46M3)?

How does the kit/software affect driveclean certification?

The ecu is flashed in house. As far as e-testing, L1 will pass and L2 will pass as well only with stock headers or you can opt for high flow cats from say Milltek or random technology.
