manifold stud broke, options?

So a manifold stud broke off, where the exhaust bolts to exhaust manifold.

being a welder i can already see its stainless, and you cant blow it threw. my buddy told me drilling stainless is almost impossible, so what are my options?

Are there any kind of special bit? maybe some sort of reverse tap ?

it can be done, but a replacement manifold is much easier. Most people throw them away with good studs still in them.

Replace the manifold. I'm sure there are some out there for cheap. Much easier than anything else in that case.

remove manifold and once you do you'll have enough thread to remove the stud from the manifold if one so chooses.

Used carbon bites, and a buddy had some ridiculous like 180 diamond bite or something. we tried hitting it up and just hardened it and the carbon did almost nothing.

I think the hole stud thing is dumb, should just nut and bolt them.

Grab a used manifold. Most give them away for free.
