If your wheels were indeed 8.5 +48 they would hit the struts. Also, you're likely running a 235/40 which will always rub on an E36 - it's too tall.

The wheel isn't really wide enough to support a 255. I mean if you have the tires already go ahead and use them, but it's not optimum and will bubble out a bit.

Its +38 offset btw..... will the tires rub on the suspension or the quarter panel...

It will rub, on the quarters. 245/40 maximum.

Ok i got mine mounted.... and with rolled fenders there was no problem... for 17x8 et38.... its not rubbing anywhere... btw i do have stock springs...
