what diff should i use?

I have an 84 318i auto. I am not sure what diff it came with , i think maybe 3.84? I also have a 325i manual parts car, no idea what it would have in it. Which diff will give me the best results, the one that came with the 318i or the one from the 325i.

Your best option would be the 4.10 open diff i have in my garage waiting for a buyer

He might be whoring, but he's not wrong. Putting the lower ratio diff from a 325 in your m10-powered 318i is going to make it aaaawwwwffffuuuulllyyy slooooow.

The 4.10 will help you reach highway speed the same day you enter the onramp...
